It's Been Awhile

It's been awhile since I have been on the site or posted anything for all the great people out there. Life brings us challenges in many different forms, but one thing I have learned over the years is that we discover something new about ourselves with each step we take through the challenging times. We discover we can love more, be stronger, survive when we think we cannot, give more, share more or live with less and still be happy. Right now, during this very difficult time for the whole world, I am learning about what truly matters in life. Family, Friends, Fairness and Faith, whatever way you choose to define it. I have learned to be thankful for the smallest things. A smile on my daughters face, a day without her feeling completely ravished by disease and the extreme effects of the drugs that are both helping and hurting her. A night where she rest easy and the sight of her shiny blue eyes in the bright morning light when I wake her.

I have learned I would surrender all I am and everything I have just to make her well and see her as she was before. A strong, beautiful, energetic, intelligent and loving young woman.

So remember to be thankful for all you have, for those in you life and most of all to focus on what really matters and do not waste time chasing something material but rather wrap your arms around the ones you love.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

"We are but mere specs of dust floating through an endless cosmos, our time imperceptible against the age of the stars and planets. So why would you waste a moment of time in hate, defeat or in the pursuit of that which does not make you and the world that surrounds you a better and more loving place."
