Got an email today with this information from BoatUS, this won't apply to me as I paid my premium in full. Had to as a requirement to dock the boat at the Naval Station Marina, but it is useful information. I already got a small rebate on my car insurance because accidents have gone way down because people aren't driving as much. It would be nice to get a rebate on boat insurance for a boat I can't use until June 1 too.:
As we continue to monitor the current COVID-19 situation around our country and the hardships that our customers may be facing, we want to take every measure we can to help. In that spirit, we have extended our pause on policy cancellations nationwide until May 31, 2020 or as directed by your state. This pause is automatic for policyholders and we hope that this will provide some peace of mind to you.
We also understand that everyone's financial situation can be different. If you are still able to pay your bill, we encourage you to do so. If you can make a partial payment, that will help reduce your overall balance.
We want you to know we’re working as hard as we can for you, but the reality is this is unprecedented, and you may experience longer than normal hold times. We strongly encourage you to download the BoatUS Mobile app or setup your online account if you do not already have one. You can access your account 24/7 and: Manage Your Payments – update your automatic payment preferences or pay your bill
Access Your ID Cards – view, print or download your ID cards
Update Your Policy – make changes to your coverages, address, or boat information
