This non-stop race takes place once every four years and will take 12-14 days to complete. Race start Sunday 10th August 2014. \u00a0Are you up for the challenge?<\/p>\n<p>The 1,802nm course will take competitors around some of the busiest and most tactically challenging sailing waters in the world. It attracts a diverse range of yachts and crew, most of which are enticed by the challenge it offers as well as the diversity and beauty of the route around Britain and Ireland with spectacular scenery and wildlife. \u00a0Most sailors agree that this race is one of the toughest tests as it is nearly as long as an Atlantic crossing, but the changes of direction at headlands will mean constant breaks in the watch system for sail changes and sail trim. \u00a0I would like to put together a comprehensive package which includes 3 qualifying offshore races and a training weekend, onboard Songlines 42foot racer\/cruiser.<br \/>\nThe crew must compete in a minimum of 500 nm offshore prior to Round Britain and Ireland Race.
