Commencing on the 22nd June 2014, the 131st Kiel Week includes some exciting new events as well as old favourites which delight festival goers year after year. The event is held at Schleswig-Holstein, the regional capital.<\/p>\n<p>For sailors, this year\u2019s festival features numerous regatta events which are suitable for mariners of all abilities. Competitors will vie to earn the coveted Kiel Classic Cup and the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup in addition to various races on the basis of gender, type of craft and distance. Whether you take part or just attend to enjoy the spectacle, this festival promises to offer plenty of exciting experiences. The large music festival held in the town provides a variety of different acts from genres as diverse as opera and dance music.
