Many of you will remember Ian and Wendy from several Lovesail articles. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ian and Wendy met on Lovesail.com, fell in love and married last year. \u00a0They then decided to embark on the <a title=\"Longest Honeymoon\" href=\"http:\/\/lovesail.com\/ls-news\/2013\/04\/longest-honeymoon-in-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Longest Honeymoon<\/a> ever and set sail from Devon. \u00a0On their yacht The Silver Slipper along with Bumble the dog, they sailed South to France and then down the East coast, their destination being Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands to take part in the ARC Race.<\/p>\n<p>Ian says :<\/p>\n<p><em>After crossing the Atlantic on the ARC 2013 we arrived in St Lucia. We spent two years getting ready and planning and had fantastic support from the management team of the ARC.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>However, once the adrenalin had gone we found ourselves in a new world, new problems and new cultures.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I have started a new facebook group so we can share our positive experiences<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This group is there to support and help all yachtsmen and women who plan to cross the Atlantic and live the dream. We all planned for the great challenge of crossing the pond to the Caribbean but what happens when we get there.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>1000&#8217;s of yachts have made the crossing but like myself and many others once you have arrived then it&#8217;s a new world, new problems and new challenges.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We were not the first, nor the last so I would like you to join the Facebook group &#8220;After The Atlantic&#8221; and share it with all your sailing friends so that all our experiences can benefit others who will be following in our footsteps in the months and years ahead.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This site is designed so that any yacht arriving in the Caribbean can have access to others experience, be it the best electrician in St Lucia or where to get your tender fixed in Grenada.
