For a brief moment, a vivid green light appears at the very top edge of the sun.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"948\">Not many people have seen a green flash, and its rarity can wrongly lead some to believe it\u2019s just an old wives\u2019 tale or an urban legend. data-start=\"3052\" data-end=\"3055\" \/>Magnification is required to see the green rim clearly, but looking at the sun through binoculars or a telescope without proper protection can permanently
