I was given my copy of Breverton\u2019s Nautical Curiosities<\/em> by an old boyfriend – one whose conduct was, shall we say, less than shipshape<\/em>. He\u2019s long gone now (last seen somewhere off the stern), but my trusty Breverton\u2019s remains by my side as a much-treasured companion. A little tea-stained and worn around the edges (much like its owner), it has a permanent place on my desk where it\u2019s always within easy reach. I often pick it up for a moment of light relief from work or to spark an idea for the next blog post.<\/p>\n

Breverton\u2019s Nautical Curiosities<\/em> is a smorgasbord of unusual nautical facts, maritime trivia, and fantastical seafaring stories. Although it\u2019s a must-have for any sailor\u2019s locker, it certainly won\u2019t look out of place on a suburban bookshelf either.<\/p>\n
