The recipe is flexible, so you can use whatever vegetables you have on board.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"666\" data-end=\"669\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"700\">Ingredients (Serves 2\u20133)<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"1151\">\n<li data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"744\">\n<p data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"744\">250g pasta (penne or fusilli work well)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"765\">\n<p data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"765\">2 tbsp olive oil<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"801\">\n<p data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"801\">2 cloves garlic, finely chopped<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"826\">\n<p data-start=\"804\" data-end=\"826\">1 small onion, diced<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"850\">\n<p data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"850\">1 courgette, sliced<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"851\" data-end=\"876\">\n<p data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"876\">1 red pepper, chopped<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"917\">\n<p data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"917\">A handful of cherry tomatoes, halved<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"978\">\n<p data-start=\"920\" data-end=\"978\">A handful of frozen peas (or other veg you have to hand)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1028\">\n<p data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"1028\">750ml vegetable stock (or water + stock cube)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1029\" data-end=\"1057\">\n<p data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1057\">Salt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1103\">\n<p data-start=\"1060\" data-end=\"1103\">Grated parmesan or hard cheese (optional)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"1151\">\n<p data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1151\">Fresh herbs if available (parsley or basil)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1153\" data-end=\"1156\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1158\" data-end=\"1172\">Equipment<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1267\">\n<li data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1221\">\n<p data-start=\"1175\" data-end=\"1221\">1 large saucepan or deep frying pan with lid<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1250\">\n<p data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1250\">1 chopping board + knife<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1267\">\n<p data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1267\">Wooden spoon<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1272\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1274\" data-end=\"1307\">Preparation and Cooking Time<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1308\" data-end=\"1337\">Around 25 minutes in total.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1339\" data-end=\"1342\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1355\">Method &#8211; How to Make This Galley Recipe One-Pot Pasta Primavera<\/h2>\n<ol data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1985\">\n<li data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1475\">\n<p data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1475\">Heat the olive oil in your pan over a medium flame. Add the onion and garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes until soft.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1596\">\n<p data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1596\">Add the courgette, red pepper, and cherry tomatoes. Stir and cook for another 3-4 minutes until starting to soften.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1597\" data-end=\"1713\">\n<p data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1713\">Pour in the pasta and vegetable stock. Give everything a good stir, bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1714\" data-end=\"1885\">\n<p data-start=\"1717\" data-end=\"1885\">Cover with a lid and cook for around 12 minutes, stirring often, until the pasta is cooked and most of the liquid absorbed\/reduced. Add the peas in the last 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1886\" data-end=\"1985\">\n<p data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"1985\">Season with salt and pepper, and finish with a sprinkle of parmesan or herbs if you have them.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Some pasta primavera recipes will cook the pasta separately but with this one-pot version just enough liquid is used so the starch from the pasta thickens the sauce. This does work &#8211; but only if the liquid is carefully measured and stirred often, otherwise the pasta can stick or end up too dry.
