About Me:

I am amongst other things, a teacher, artist, gardener, mum of two teenage boys, and a big fan of laughter...
I like my own company... but I also like spending time with like-minded peaceful people.

I love... in no particular order ... my friends, swimming, meditation, being in the garden, mountains, skiing, walking, reading and literature, wildlife, painting, amongst other things, but I really love the sea and being on the water.

I am looking to meet people to sail with who would like friendship and sailing adventures, and to share this love of the sea and sailboats! I am easy-going, calm natured and capable, funny, fairly fit, and I do have some time to myself when I'm not working and not looking after my lovely children.

My dream is to get a big boat one day which I could live on some of the time. Well... I have to start somewhere!

Sailing Experience:

I owned a mirror dinghy years ago, and more recently a Wayfarer, but I found it too heavy to drag in and out of the water with my children...

On bigger boats, not very much experience, a few to and fros to the IOW, so my experience is really pretty minimal! BUT ... I'm very willing to learn ... and help out too...

We had a family Quicksilver speedboat so I'm very used to being on and around boats, and can do all the powerboat driving and manoeuvre one around in and out of a marina etc, but it's not really my thing! It's really sails that I'm attracted to :) - the power of the wind and the peace and excitement that goes with this.

Sailing Qualifications:

RYA Dinghy to level 4.
Competent Crew 5 day yachting course.

Thinking I may do Day Skipper online theory this spring 2021... and then the practical once I can!!
