About Me:: I'm a geek, love to cook, far too unfit for my own good but working to change that. I'm in the early stages of preparing to buy a catamaran to start cruising the world.
Sailing Experience:: I grew up cruising the Hauraki Gulf and later the Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand on summer weekends and school holidays from about the age of 8. I've not spent much time on a boat in maybe 20 years but have always had a draw to the idea of cruising the world. I'm finally seriously considering whether to buy my own boat and sail off into the sunset so I want to get some real time aboard sailing, doing passages, and retraining my rusty self on how to sail.
Sailing Qualifications:: Coastal cruising in the Hauraki Gulf and then Marlborough Sounds from 8 till I left for uni. Not much time at all spent on the water since then.
