About Me:

My nickname is Whips but I do answer to my birth name.
I am an easy going, strong valued, retired, ex Navy veteran. I am a mix of Jack Tarr the sailor and eastern spirituality (tantric). I have a mischievous and oft crude sense of humour and prone to wicked innuendo. I am also a little spiritual and genuine in heart and treat people with respect. Although I have little time for arrogance, ignorance and inequitable views.
I enjoy robust conversations and challenging opinions.
I plan on spending time cruising locally and in the near future further afield.
Now it's my time to sit back and enjoy life. Go cruising with a little bit of racing thrown in because I can't let it go lol.
I plan on doing most of my sailing short handed with myself and one or two others.
I am a keen diver with enough gear for 2. I have worked commercially as a Divemaster for Jervis Bay Dive and Scuba world.
I enjoy many different pastimes, one that is a bit left of centre is Shibari.
I have a heap of ex Navy mates that will join me on trips. However Female companionship on voyages would be great for a change of pace.

Sailing Experience:

I have a strong sailing background and now have my own yacht. My pedigree is teaching sailing, operating sailing charters, ocean and inshore racing and staff crew of a square rigged Sail Training Ship.
