About Me:

I am an active adventurer who loves the outdoors, winter/high altitude mountaineering and travelling to distant shores and experiencing different cultures. Been sailing since I was nine from dinghys to schooners.

I have a broad background that includes solar energy, software development and construction/lighting management for music festivals. I also consult with fellow sailors on converting vessels from diesel to electric. I am very handy and do all my own work.

And I love music especially stuff from the 60's, 70's and 80's including folk, folk rock, celtic and a little bit of punk rock just to keep things real. I'm a patriot, a romantic, philosophical, a bit poetic, and deeply curious about everything. To me life is the adventure and sailing is the perfect vehicle.

I love sailing which means being out, away from shore and experiencing the action of the vessel. While I can handle a vessel this size alone it is always more fun to share that experience with other like minded sailors. I am not your usual temperamental captain who consumes barrels of beer the moment the anchor is set. I am more of the philosophical type where a conversation about life, relationships and helping others is far more interesting. I also find that you ladies are more fun to have on board for this reason as well as your fearlessness on deck or up a mast.

So if sailing and exceptionally good company are why your here then let's see where our paths might cross.

Sailing Experience:

I grew up lake sailing in New Hampshire then moved up to 60' + yawls and schooners at the high school I attended. From there it was bare bones in the BVI's. Now I am on my own blue water beauty, a 1980 Pearson 424 that I have converted to solar powered electric. Totally autonomous and reliable sailing. No diesel hassles, no diesel smell.

Sailing Qualifications:

I am old school. No certifications or paper to hang on the bulkhead but I will be getting my six-pack that allows me to do things like chartering that I can't do without it.
