New Platform, New Features
Lovesail Newsletter Spring 2019 – We are excited to announce that the new Lovesail platform has been up and running for a few weeks now. I think you will agree it is a vast improvement on the last platform in many ways. We no longer have two versions of the site (desktop and mobile). We have just one version which runs on a responsive platform. This means the site will change its size and layout according to the device or screen you are using. Google, as part of their search engine algorithms, places great importance on a website being user-friendly on a mobile device so it is imperative that a website is “mobile-friendly” now. We feel that the new responsive design is more aesthetically pleasing with better functionality, as well as being more intuitive and easier to navigate.
CLASSIFIED SECTION We now have a classified section listing items for sale. There are sections for boats, boat parts, other sailing paraphernalia, general items for sale and also a Sailing Appointments/Jobs section to advertise paid positions.
CREWING AND SAILING EVENTS The Crewing and Sailing Events section will now enable not just crewing posts to be listed but also sailing events such as boat shows, regattas and races. If you know of an event near you and would like to publicize it then please do post it in this section.
