This bio will be a work in progress as am I in both life and my sailing experience.
I took the ASA 101, 103 and 104 courses in 2018 in St. Petersburg, Florida and am now located near Kemah, TX.
I do hope to have a home base here in the Galveston County area(I love books and animals and need a small modest homestead back on land to house both while I’m out traveling-although I do hope to bring a dog out sailing eventually), but hope to travel from here regularly (especially to the Caribbean on humanitarian missions when hurricanes hit). Im interested in crewing for longer trips once I get some more experience under my belt in the Bay area. Hopefully in a couple years I'll be ready for that. Ultimately, I want to retire on a sailboat and sail around the world once I can financially. Currently, I also have 3 dogs who are my furkids and therefore do not foresee myself living on a sailboat full time until my pups have lived a full long life and have flown the coop (since 2 out of 3 are special needs rescue dogs and cannot live on a sailboat).
In the meantime, I hope to network with other sailors here as I dive into the deep waters of sailing. For now, I am available for weekend day sailing in the Galveston Bay area as crew. I'm saving up to get a sailboat in 2-5years.

Also, if there is a Christian sailor out there who is single, looking for a co-captain in life, whose home base could be the Houston/Galveston area also, but has a passion for life and sailing then I'd love to chat sometime to see if we could be more than just friends. Otherwise, Im down to just be friends, sail, volunteer as crew and have fun. I'm single/divorced and starting over here in Texas. I am all about a healthy mind, body and soul and do consider myself more spiritual than religious but I am very much a Christ follower and try to live a life that is pleasing to God and a life that reflects Christ through me. If you have different beliefs that’s fine, I’m all about agreeing to disagree and loving people as they are and if that person wants something different then that’s up to them, not me. No one can force their beliefs on anyone. I’ll be me and you be you and decent/moral human beings we shall be. The golden rule in my world is to do no harm to others, love one another as Christ first loved us, and to stand up for the voiceless, the sick, and the weak who are being harmed by others. I also have celiac disease and have to eat gluten free, so I’m all about healthy eating, unfortunately if you want someone to share cake and tortillas with, I may not be your type. I can however share fish, rice, veggies, steak, tropical fruits, and rum - it’s like my gut was designed to live on an island.

I was in the USN for 6years and love the ocean. Off and on I have taught swim lessons wherever I've lived and also hope to sell artwork/paintings online. Was an Aquatics Department Director at the YMCA one year. Sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and boating are hobbies for me for now but eventually when I've saved up enough, and gained enough experience, I hope to get a sailboat that I can sail around the world. I am also working a full time government job from home which pays the bills and will probably always work in some sort of investigations field but hopefully that could even be done from a boat someday. :) God bless!
