About Me:

Hello to all you single women sailors! My name is Rob, a very young 68 Y.O., 5' 8" tall, in great shape, intelligent, and fun. I'd love to meet a woman who enjoys sailing too. Hope we'll hit it off. It would be great to find a long-term partner. I've been cruising my 53' cutter, sometimes singlehanded, for the last 6 years since my early retirement. Having a great time but I would love some companionship. If we meet I'm sure you'll find me a great guy. The boat's pretty nice too. LOL

Who am I looking for? Someone fit enough to do offshore passages, bright and fun, around 58 to 68 Y.O. Enjoys sailing and travel, A diver would be a plus. Sound like you? Let's get acquainted. I've spent the winter and spring through the virus closures in the Virgin Islands. Sailed back to South Florida in June. Boat's been in the yard and is now in outstanding shape. It would be great to find someone to sail back to the Caribbean with after hurricane season. There are all sorts of possible ports of call. In the mean time I'll be dodging storms around Florida. Laura chased me out of Key West and I was in Ft Myers for a week or two but I'm back in Key West. Next destination might be up the East Coast somewhere near you.

Here's a little more about me. I'm a partnership person and like to support and care for those I'm close with but have an independent side too. I think it takes a strong individual to be a strong partner. I'm quite bright and can learn anything I need very quickly. I believe education is a lifelong process. I like to read quite a bit. I have a talent for building and fixing things. I'm a real craftsman in all the trades. I had a business/career in general contracting. I love being in nature, especially around the ocean and islands where it's warm and sunny. Love sailing, diving and travel. I even have a SCUBA compressor aboard my boat. I like going out to hear good music and enjoy good food but do not like dark, crowded, noisy places where people are drinking too much and making jackasses of themselves. I have a spiritual side and have done meditation, mindfulness, trying to stay centered, etc. whatever you like to call it for decades; try to stay in the moment without getting too spacey. People tell me I'm laid back. I guess they mean I don't sweat the small stuff. At the same time I'm active and energetic and can accomplish a good bit. I value relationships and think they're worth the time it takes to develop, based on mutual respect, honesty, caring and affection. Of course physical chemistry is important too. I must have some bad traits too. Maybe a little too quiet in social settings. Maybe not as communicative as I should be, specially when the subject would be difficult or hurtful. Not much of a chit chat person. Although I'm in good shape and healthy from the cruising lifestyle and the contracting before that, I really should pay more attention to my diet and healthy lifestyle. Hmm, must be more but I can't think of any right now. LOL

Looking forward to hearing from you.
