Season starts soon, and work starts even sooner, with a busmans holiday.
Suddenly, we can count the weeks to launching again and I am also feeling very lucky or even blessed. First week in February, a new friend met last summer in Brittany, is chancing her arm and coming to stay for a week of boat prep. You do not get that happening very often. If anyone wants to share in this feast, we will be near Rochester, Kent and you can be made welcome as well.
Next treat was on a random Charity Shop visit, and picked up an, as new, Sailing Jacket in my size, for less than a tenner, some fancy branded make, but looks nice and in working order.
Other retail therapy has included two second hand winches and an Asymetric sail added to the inventory and while in boat mode: have sent off my application for the Nore Race Sunday 28th of June. Now we need to find a crew for a splendid event started off Southend Pier and usually has 100 plus family boats as well as a handful of more serious racers. Now,where is my list of things to do. F
