Los Angeles California area starts opening up.
Since the lock down started we have always been able to come down and use our boats as long as we respected social distancing and masks when on the public areas. We could go sailing but needed to return to our slips or be quarantined. Now we get to sail to Catalina island with restrictions. Here is their posting.
" Memorial Day Weekend is a special time to honor military personnel who have served our country. And while celebrations and traditions may look a little different this year, we hope you find your own way to pay tribute to those who have served.
This weekend also marks the unofficial start to summer, and moorings are open to all boaters at Two Harbors and areas from White’s Landing to Emerald Bay for those seeking a socially distanced getaway with family.
Shore access is allowed for essential activities including:
Food and necessary shopping at the Two Harbors General Store
(face coverings are required)
To-go food/drink pick up from the West End Galley
(items must be consumed aboard your boat per County regulations)
Restroom and coin-op shower facilities
This is great news for a kick off to summer. But I think I'll wait until the bar opens and I can have the bartender make me a buffalo milk.
Stay well and patient. We have learned and grown with consideration and compassion.
