I got into sailing because it seemed like a relaxing way to enjoy the great outdoors. Then when I actually learned to sail, I found I enjoy the excitement of competition and trying to sail to the best of my ability.
When I'm not sailing I enjoy hiking and camping, reading philosophy, listening to and playing music, and spending time with friends. Besides the excitement of racing, the community is the thing I love the most about becoming a sailor.

I only started sailing last year but I took to it quickly. I achieved cansail 3 in my first year, and did a lot of racing. This year I'm racing regularly with the albacore fleet in the outer harbour.
