About Me:: Hi, I’ve spent most of my adult years sailing for recreation and as my profession. Currently I run a large sailing yacht.
Sailing Experience:: Started at age 22, sailing from Jamaica to Panama as a crew. Fell in love with the lifestyle. In the next few years I sailed from NZ to New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Australia. My next adventure was from NZ to the Cooks and French Polynesia.
Now I was really hooked and decided I needed my own boat. Found a fixer upper in PNW, which I fixed up and sailed to Alaska, then south to Mexico. After a few seasons in Mexico I crossed the Pacific to NZ. I ended up importing the boat, and sailing around the western Pacific with NZ as a base.
I worked as bridge officer on a Nat Geo small expedition cruise ship for 4.5 years.
Moved on to captaining private motor yachts in various places and ultimately ended up on a big sailboat again, which I’ve been captaining for 7 years, based in Long Island Sound and traveling as far north as Nova Scotia and the Caribbean islands to the south.
