Boating and working in the marina business my entire life. I've navigated from Maine to the West Indies including Greece and Spain. Captain's license for insurance purposes. My main residence is in Malaga Spain but I own and operate a marina in Huntington, New York. it's possible to do both if you keep yourself very fit. I love difficult navigation and docking. Nothing is impossible.
- Sailing Experience:
- I am an expert with power or sailboats. I sailed extensively with my father on his sailboat when I was very young until the age of 14. Then on his 42 ft Knutson built wooden sport fisherman extensively up and down the East Coast of the United States through the Bahamas and West Indies. 10 years old my first solo trip on my 13-foot Boston whaler was from Huntington Long Island to Rowaton, Connecticut. My main hangout was Newport, Rhode Island. I took my speedboat directly from Huntington to Newport and sometimes block Island and Nantucket on the weekends. Purchased a 55 Neptunus yacht in 2002 and spent 2 winters in the Bahamas with my family running the boat myself while my wife cared for my two young girls. I also was a member of St Croix Yacht club and sailed in the Virgin Islands every winter from 2006 until 2019. My favorite boating in New York is going to dinner from Huntington to Connecticut at night. My night navigation skills are excellent. It's in my blood.
