Hello everyone!
Retired (married from 1994 to 1999, never had any kid) and thinking of buying a large pile of rust to turning it into a magnificent modern Motorsailer.
Purpose?
Home sweet home. Speaking (read/write) 3 languages. South-America, English, Spanish & French speaking Islands will do.100% full expat since 1990, 8 countries as a resident (including 3 islands Guam, Saipan, FR Guadeloupe) and a dozen + more as a long time cruiser.
This idea of refitting a Steel Trawler into a Motorsailer will happened if finding what I am looking for in either India, Bangladesh or Pakistan. Why there?For THE COST as well as peoples' abilities.
In these countries, nothing is impossible in mater of crafting. (but I am also considering Ukraine, Russia, Turkey ...)So far I have been selfs studying all kinds of Hulls, Mats, Ballast, Counterweights, Equalizers, Gyroscopes, Sails, Rudders, Keels, Foils, Bulbous Bow, Electrical Motors ...
This IS NOT a 2 years project, but more likely a 6 month max from the day of purchase.The other plan is also to go for a MasterDriver Instructor license. Best plan being to do it all on same location.

This is no paranoia, I was trained as a kid, then in the AF, then on my own to "always" be ready.
