About Me:: Hi, I am a semi-retired professional with lots of hobbies and interests mainly on the cultural side that include, art, playing in a band, writing, yoga and all kinds of activities on the water. I am lucky to have a great lifestyle, living in two beautiful places by the sea. I love travel and experiencing new places.
Sailing Experience:: I have been sailing since I was two on all types of boats; sailing dinghies, classic yachts, catamarans and cruisers in the UK, USA, Greece, Italy and the Canaries. I spent several decades racing several times a week, and in addition to countless smaller boats, have owned two of my own yachts. I haven't taken a huge amount of sailing qualifications but those that I have, include RYA coastal skipper, VHF radio and most recently, a diesel engine maintenance course. I currently own a Beneteau Oceanis 320 which I keep in a marina in Gosport, one of the best places in the UK to sail from. I would love to take my boat further afield and perhaps down to the Med via the French canals.
