About Me:: I sold everything I owned to live aboard my boat with three dogs and I intend to sail up and down the east coast. I’m pretty laid back maybe to the point of it being an issue. I’ve sailed from Portland down to NJ so far and I’ve been enjoying every place I go getting to know the area rather than just moving quickly between ports. I’m not a rich man and most likely will never be one. I enjoy adventure, fun and relaxation.
Sailing Experience:: I learned to sail on a canoe in the mountains on lakes and rivers 100 percent self taught. Picked up what I could watching ******* talking to other sailors and bringing more experienced sailors aboard for fun day sails. I bought this boat with zero practical experience on a boat this size and learned the basics from the previous owner. So far I have sailed from Portland Maine to NJ without any major issues (besides getting my main halyard jammed in the sheave at the masthead with the sail 1/2 up the mast ) I’m sure I will eventually run into trouble but I’m confident I will handle it. I’m a fair weather sailor I don’t mind rain but too much wind or swell and I’m tucking away to wait it out. Eventually with more experience I’ll push it a little but for now I’m just going to keep it chill.
