I'm a southern girl, born in Savannah, raised in Memphis and Columbia, SC, and have lived in Savannah, Columbia or Charleston most of my life, but have traveled quite a bit. I went to USC (the original one!) and majored in International Studies and Economics. I love to travel, cook, take care of my animals and am a major DIY while rehabbing my 125 yr old historic register house. I am an introvert and enjoy my quiet time so obviously not a raucous party-er. I do better in small groups. I do enjoy good food, great drinks and stimulating conversation though.
- Sailing Experience:
- I learned to sail about 40 yrs ago in a Laser on fresh water Lake Murray and have been involved in sailing ever since. I raced a Hobie 16 around the southeast when I was a kid, have crewed OPBs in PHRF regattas, owned a few dinghies, lived aboard a 47 ft Bowman ketch for 3 yrs and sailed offshore from Lauderdale/Bermuda/Bahamas/Caribbean to Brazil and back. I volunteer with race committees here of the yacht clubs here if not racing. I'm the grateful owner of a classic C&C 33-1. Would love some company on the boat and maybe a hand to help get things done on her!
