I have had many adventures during my life; travelled, hiked, biked and sailed. Thankfully work is now past history which allows me plenty of time to indulge my passion for the outdoors and in particular sailing both locally and afar. I am the antithesis of a ‘Couch Potato’ always up to something be it, exploring what ever environment I am in by bike, foot, boat or car. I have an insatiable thirst for the outdoors. There is nothing more uplifting than the smell of salty or earthy, herb laden air, on approaching a shore, whilst harnessing the elements for an exciting sail to some peaceful anchorage or the buzz of reaching an unexplored harbour. Watching the sun go down with glass of wine in hand and in good company is just magical to me and quintessentially a beautiful cruising experience. I am friendly, chatty ( some say to chatty!) Inquisitive and I like to think I can be kind, generous and helpful. I love a good laugh and really enjoy the company of friends with a good sense of humour but I can have a serious side. Don’t get me on to Brexit!
Since I lost my Soul mate a while back I have been on a big learning curve. When needs must I often have a challenging project on the go. Thank goodness for all those wonderful people on ******* who so generously share their knowledge and skills with people like me who haven’t a clue but willing to have a go at sorting things out for themselves. I feel ready to move on and meet new friends and/or someone who like me has a passion for the outdoors, travel, sailing and enjoys a good banter about what is going on in the world around us.
I have a beautiful yacht in the Eastern Aegean which due to Covid has been ashore and needs to complete her Odyssey. I would like to connect with people who are keen sailors who would like to share in the adventure, have fun and maybe more. - Sailing Experience:

I have been passionate about sailing since a young age some would say obsessed! I learned to sail the hard way crewing in racing dinghies as a child and as a teenager often raced single handed dinghies , progressing to offshore sailing as an adult. Cruiser yacht ownership began with a Folkboat and a Twister then downsizing to trailer sailors when children arrived, then back to ‘proper yachts’ a Parker 27 and the current yacht a Bavaria 36 in Greece and just for fun, when not sailing in warmer waters, I sail a 20 ft lifting keel Hunter Medina, kept on the Tamar. Over the years, I have cruised many miles in the boats I have owned as well as on other peoples including ; chartering, yacht deliveries and crewing for friends. Sailing mostly in Uk, Northern and Southern European waters with a few forays across Biscay and chartering in Australia. I have also helped deliver yachts, sailing to some Atlantic islands, and an Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean. During my children’s growing up years I was a dinghy instructor and raced Lasers and Wayfarers during the winter. Once they flew the nest we sailed the Bavaria from the UK East Coast, heading West then South, nibbling the edges of Northern and Southern Europe and into the Med. We mainly island hopped across to the Eastern Med, taking every opportunity to explore each new land and making many lasting friendships with fellow cruisers doing the same. I am just about to launch my yacht in Leros and looking for crew to continue the adventure.
