My progression has taken me from small sailboats (Laser/Sunfish) up to not quite so small sailboats (Catalina 30), and then on to the Dark Side. I now own and spend most of my time living aboard a 40' trawler in Kemah, Tx.
I would love to make new friends that might enjoy going out with me. I'm definitely open to dating as well, if the opportunity presents itself.
Most of my outings are short excursions on Clear Lake and Galveston Bay. If you enjoy boating, please feel free to drop me a note!
- Sailing Experience:
- Most of my boating experience was on Lake Travis, near Austin, Tx. It's been fun to play on a range of boats. I had long dreamed the dream of doing the loop. When covid hit, and we all started working remotely - I finally had my chance to buy a boat on the coast. Sooooo many projects! Ha ha! Please feel free to reach out and say hello. I would love to meet people in the Kemah / Clear Lake area. I'm openly looking for crew for short excursions in Galveston Bay. Current boat: 1983 Ocean Alexander 40 trawler Past boats include: 1969 Lonestar outboard engine runabout San Juan 21 Laser (with a Sunfish rig - to tame it a little, as this was one of my first sailboats) O'Day 19 Several Catalina 22's Catalina 27 Catalina 30 Sea Ray 270 Regal 28 Regal 402 Commodore Chris Craft 410 - This was a project boat (that sadly failed)

Sailing generally limited to day sailing on Lake Travis, on a variety of boats from 13-30'.
Lots of great trips cruising on the lake, anchoring, rafting up with Austin Sailing Society and other random friends.Current trips are typially day sailing on Galveston Bay and Clear Lake. Overnight stays in Offat's Bayou (Pelican Rest Marina) and Freeport (Bridge Harbor Marina).
