July2023 update - just finished boatbuilding course and looking to stay around Falmouth.
Crewing once a week in RCYC, lov3 being on and near the waterAlmost a total beginner with ability to do the chart plotting thanks to good geography classes in Polish primary school
2019 update:
still not skilled enough to put boat to sleep on anchor or mooring but have sailed across bitch of the Biscay (twice) and North Sea once. Seams that i don't really know other than rough conditions... done solo night watches - high seas while Biscay passage.
Sailing, or lets put it this way - being at sea, away from land is best thing ever. Just as riding my motorbike or spending time with my adopted, yappy sea salted Patterdale. I tried paddle-boarding this summer, with my dog, and we like it. we might do more of this next year :) - Sailing Experience:

past: a bit of crewing here and there, mostly while racing evenings on the river Exe.
Also done Brighton to Grimsby passage (including night passage in gale 7 over The Wash) and Dartmouth to Newlyn over Easter years back
recent:
Biscay Bay (Porto, Portugal to Brest, France on 60foot sailing yacht; Portimao, Portugal to Dublin on 51m 3masted gaff schooner) Both trips rather ruff but I survived and will do it again
