About Me:

at one point, I will have plenty of time on my hands, so I would like to pick up on sailing again and start checking off the items that are on my bucket list.

I have dual citizenship (Canadian & German) and I am fluent in both english and german. I'm a non-smoker, non-vaper, drug-free, very occaisional drinker, not the bar/night club type, non-partyer... (but far from boring).

I would like to spend time in the Mediterranean and eastern Atlantic, (Islas Canarias) eventually crossing with the ARC to the Caribbean to spend the winters there, returning to the Mediterranean for the summers. Full time live-aboard would be an ultimate goal.

For now, I am spending my time "improving" my language skills in french & spanish, working towards completing all my German Sailing Certification(s) SBF-See, SKS, Short Range Certificate - SRC, (for now, I'm doing, what I can do on-line), and the "learning by doing" comes later...

...'cause I guess its "better" to have "some sort of papers"...

Sailing Experience:

About 20 years ago I had some limited exposure to sailing...
Had a 26ft daysailer, sailed on lakes in Alberta, and British Columbia (1996-2004)
Also have Sailed in,
Mexico - Sea of Cortez (Baja) "lived on board" (Nov-Mar) the winters of 2002,2003
Belize - Placencia (Dec 2004 - Jan 2005) Moorings & Private
Canada - Gulf Islands B.C.

Sailing Qualifications:

I know the basics, never had real training, much room for improvement, so I am working towards taking the certification for the German "Segelschein" (SBF-See).

I have proven it to myself on many occasions, and know that I can do just about anything I put my whole heart towards.

I have time, and am willing to learn whatever you are willing to teach me.
