I feel like EVERYONE has more experience than I do...... but that does not dismiss my passion and desire to find that special someone to experience beautiful sunsets in amazing places. I've always been too practical to vacation in the usual traps and now I plan to make up for it. Not well travelled but I have a wanderlust to travel far and wide to see what I have missed. It's a really BIG world and I need to see as much of it as I can.
Looking at retirement from my maintenance job at the university next July. In the mean time I have some home renovations to finish and a house to sell before boat shopping for real. I have a Sandpiper 565 that I play with for fun. The retirement boat I want is a 36' aluminium Alubat Ovni that should take us anywhere we decide to go!
My resume is pale compared to most of you folks..... mostly racing on a C&C 30 out of Cobourg for the last 6 yrs. If you have modest experience, no problem..... we can learn together! My strong point is the practical side of boat maintenance, I can fix damn near anything and that will come in handy keeping a boat going on a reasonable budget.
I have been single a long time and as a guy with a hundred restaurants to choose from every day, I have some weight to loose. Honestly, I am soooo looking forward to the healthier lifestyle that sailing will bring.
Looking for you here is just logical..... My passion for sail travel is foremost in my mind and many think they would like the lifestyle..... I want to make sure you have the passion and focus as do I.
