- About Me:
Vital Statistics: 59 year old man, 5 foot 9. Reasonably fit. Unattached. Three grown kids each doing very well on their own. Northern european ancestry. USA passport. Drink some. Tobacco free.
Situation: Retired since early 2018 from career in clean energy engineering. Now a liveaboard sailor, currently based in Abaco. Boat was tossed ashore during Dorian, but has been recovered and is now sound and seaworthy.
Current 'plan': A few semi-definite and many indefinite schemes. aka, "depends".
In search of: Male or female, young or old, crew/sailing companion. Not especially looking for romance, just some pleasant company for a few hours up to a few months.
- Sailing Experience:
Lifelong boatman in small boats (canoe, kayak, dinghy, skiff). Ten years actively sailing keel boats. Stopped logging, but I would guess around 1000 days on the water now (sails up) in keelboats. Many more of those days were 20 mile days than 100 mile days, but have done a handful of longer passages including one of about 1000 miles.
Sailing style: Go slow, but sail fast. If in doubt, take the safe route. No grand plan. If it ain't fun, don't do it.
