I can’t get close enough (my flat overlooks the Itchen and I can see the river from every window); sailing, swimming, kayaking on the Itchen and in the Med and just walking along the wonderful cliffs of Pembrokeshire and southern England. My dream would be to have a sailing holiday. Preferably a gulet off the coast of Turkey, followed by a trip to Istanbul to marvel at Hagia Sophia.

I began sailing in my teens; my first exciting encounter was a sailing week at the Island Sailing Club in Salcombe, Devon. As part of my work I was able to take advantage of sailing courses and facilities which included taking students dinghy sailing. In July 2014 I returned to the UK after working in Spain for 5 years and have taken up sailing again. I crew for people who have boats on the Itchen and in Gosport. In March 2015 I spent 2 weeks sailing around the BVI. An amazing experience! Since then I have twice been sailing for a week in Greece but mainly in the Solent with friends.
