I have been sailing since I was about 14... on and off. I am now "semi-retired" and have cruised from Hampton, VA (near Norfolk, but not in the list), to Florida and back last season. Am now back in Hampton, repairing a few things, and adding some conveniences to the boat.
While it was great fun, it would have been much more enjoyable with a partner/first mate (or whatever you'd want to call her) to share with. Looking for someone to join me on this journey and explore beyond Florida on the next chapter.

Like I've mentioned, I have been sailing on and off since I was about 14. In my 40's I had an Irwin 26 that I purchased in Holland, MI and sailed solo across Lake Michigan to Chicago, IL. My first passage overnight.
After that I moved to San Diego, CA, taking the boat with and sailed there in the bay (and a bit outside) for nearly 7 years, and then moved to Seattle, WA. Unfortunately, by that time the cost to ship the boat to Seattle was too much, so I sold the boat in SD and Went boatless for about 20 years.
The next sailing I did was on my current boat, a Hunter 37 Legend, from Fall River, MA (where I had purchased her) to Hampton, VA. I had help for that leg, and while it was a bit wild in the storms offshore that we ran into, it was quite fun. Stayed there for about a year before taking her to Florida and back.
