I began sailing 35 years ago, but I don’t feel like I know that much about it because I only followed the direction of my partner and he was always in control. Now I realize that I need to learn to sail by myself. I am still active and reasonably fit and I am ready to take on new challenges and new adventures in my life.

I was “crew” for my spouse for 33 years. We started out with a 17’ sailboat. We moved up to a Mirage 23, then a Sabre 28, a C&C 99, and finally a 45’ Pacific Seacraft yacht. I love sailing, but not so much that I want to live on my boat. I don’t like rough seas either, but there’s nothing better than a beautiful day on the water. I hope to get a sailboat of my own and become confident sailing it.
