Six months ago I left Canada with a one-way ticket. I had an opportunity to crew on a SV to French Polynesia from San Diego California. That didnt work out so I bought another one way ticket to La Paz Baja Califoria Sur Mexico. I've been living here for 6 months now and I'm determined to find a way to continue to travel as a digital nomad with or without a SV. Fair winds to all ;)
Update; still traveling mexico. Currentyl in Chiapas in my first paid crewing job! 45ft Beneteau Woohoo! Im so happy!!!

In 2013 I sailed a 30ft steel SV to Bahamas and back from Canada. It took 1 year to do this. Anchored every night in the ICW and island hopping the Abaco Islands was a dream. Since then I have raced on a 40ft SV for 4 years as fordeck. I have bought my own sailboat and have upgraded 3 times. I have solosailed for about 1 year. My last one still sits on the hard in Canada I hope to sell it and buy one here. Until then I am just enjoying life in Baja California Sur. Life is good! ;)
