The RYA Dinghy Show

The RYA Dinghy Show 2020

The annual RYA dinghy show at Alexandra Palace takes place from Saturday 29th February until Sunday 1st March 2020.  Saturday opening hours are 10:00 – 18:00 and Sunday 10:00 – 17:00.

This small craft show is much smaller when compared to the Southampton Boat Show, with around 8000 visitors coming to Ally Pally over the weekend, but it is, none the less, a must-visit if you have an interest in or would like to start dinghy sailing.

This year you can download the RYA Dinghy Show App useful for planning your trip and finding your way around the show.  It also gives the schedules of the main stage talks and workshops taking place over the weekend so you don’t miss your favourite bits.

Getting There

Car

The address for Alexandra Palace is Alexandra Palace Way, Wood Green, London.  N22 7AY.  Although there are 1500 free parking spaces at the Palace it can get very busy particularly on a Saturday morning.  It is, therefore, recommended that you use public transport to get to the show.  If you decide to travel by car there are other car parks in Wood Green signed Shopping City West or East (N22 6YQ).  Once parked head out through the shopping centre to High Road and then head for Wood Green Tube Station where you can catch the W3 bus to the show.

Public Transport

Train – PLEASE NOTE: On the weekend of the show trains will not be running to and from London King’s Cross Station due to the East Coast Upgrade.  Replacement buses will be running but will be extremely busy so it is advised that you find alternative routes or transport.

Tube

The nearest station to the show is Wood Green Tube Station on the Piccadilly Line.  Once at the station there is a bus W3 that will take you to Alexandra Palace.  The bus runs both days, on Saturday every 6 minutes and Sunday every 9-12 minutes.

Bus

The W3 bus stops by Alexandra Palace and the route includes Wood Green and Alexandra Palace stations.

Ticket Prices

Tickets range from £10 for an adult RYA member to £24 for a weekend ticket (non-RYA member).  As is usual with these events it’s cheaper to buy your tickets in advance rather than on the door.  Visit the ticket page to book your tickets.
