The Route du Rhum is a gruelling transatlantic solo race that sets off from St Malo, in Brittany, France and finishes in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, a distance of just over 3500 miles.
An annual offshore Malaysian sailing event, the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta was first competed for in 1988. This offshore race is organised by the Royal Selangor Yacht Club together with the RORC and also forms part of the Asian Yachting Grand Prix Championships.
